Hair Extension Maintenance and Care Tips

1.Pre-Installation

To Full satisfaction of APOhair extensions can by achieved by the following hair care tips. First and foremost, always comb and wash the extension hair before installation. If there are any problems with the hair, you will be able to detect them at this time. Hold hair and wash in vertical direction.

1.1.Combing:
Comb it 2-3 times a day  at a downward direction gently instead of harshly.,but pls start at the ends of your hair and then gently work your way up, finally is the upper parts. For wavy or curly style, remember to take the round with wide-toothed comb. If the hair tangled, try to use the other hand to hold it and then comb it more lightly and gently as above.

1.2.Washing:
  Apohair wash the hair regularly,neither too frequently nor seldom, “Too often” would do damage to the cuticles of the hair, “Seldom” would occurs dry and tangled, once a week is best;
Before wash, comb the hair first , after make sure your hair is tangle free then soak it in warm water with high-quality shampoo for around 5 to 10 minutes. Later, comb the hair to get rid of the dirty things.
After clean up, blots up the water  with a towel, don't use iron or dryer if you are not in a hurry, let it dry naturallly so as to prolong its life time.
Wash hair sparingly with a good-quality shampoo. Many people insist that washing hair too often can leave hair dried out, leeched of its natural oils, and damage your hair. Shoot to shampoo your hair at most every other da...y. Some people wash their hair only twice a week.Try shampoos that do not contain sulfates or parabens. Sulfates are the chemicals that make shampoos lather up. Parabens are preservatives that cause irritation and eye problems after prolonged use. Both of these chemicals aren't healthy for you or the environment so try to use shampoos with natural cleansers.Choose a shampoo that suits your hair type. Don't just go for any old shampoo; go for the shampoo that works for you!Curly or coarse hair probably wants frizz-minimizing and softening shampoo.Straight or oily hair probably wants a gentle shampoo designed for daily washing.Colored or treated hair probably needs a shampoo that's fortified with extracts or amino acids, because treating your hair is essentially damaging it.Dry hair probably needs shampoos with glycerin and collagen to help restore some moisture into the hair.

4.Product Recommendations

ApoHair extensions, which are also known as hair integrations, also require proper maintenance measures just like real hair. Keep in mind that these extensions should seamlessly blend in with your natural hair so much that no one can tell the difference between the two types of hair! Investing in the appropriate products like hair extensions shampoo and conditioner is then a must.
Here are the must-have hair products that must be in the bathroom and dresser table to keep hair integrations as soft, silky and lustrous as your real hair.
4.1.Shampoo
While there is no one-brand-fits-all shampoo for hair integrations, there are certain types of shampoos that must be avoided lest the strands become damaged in any way. Shampoos with oils, silicone and waxes, among other ingredients formulated to keep hair shiny and smooth, should not be used on hair extensions.
Why? Because these shampoos will eventually make the extensions lose their grip on your natural hair, thus, causing the strands to unbind – and there go your extensions unraveling for all the world to see, perhaps even laugh about at your expense.
The best solution: Use an all-natural organic shampoo formulated for “normal hair” that will gently clean your hair without causing considerable damage to your extensions. Avoid using shampoos for damaged or dry hair because these contain higher levels of moisturizers that can also cause slippage of the hair integrations.
4.2.Conditioners:
Be sure to have three types of conditioners in your bathroom for hair extensions, namely, conditioner, deep conditioner, and leave-on conditioner. Each one has its uses in keeping the strands looking healthy and feeling soft just don’t overdo the application – about once every other day should be sufficient. Better yet, ask your hairstylist about their proper use.
Deep conditioners are important hair care products for extensions because these do not have the benefit of scalp oils moving down their shafts. Just follow the instructions on the label so as to get the best results since too much deep conditioning can also damage both the natural hair and its extensions.
Tip: Leave on the deep conditioner on the hair extensions for an hour. Thoroughly rinse it off with cold water.
When you have human hair extension shampoo and conditioner, you are basically covered. But why stop with basic products when you can have other hair care products that can add beauty and longevity to your hair extensions?
4.3.Heat Protectant:
This product is necessary when the hair extensions are subjected to heat via blow dryers and flat irons. Choices include:
* Conditioning heat protectants with leave-in conditioners that guard against heat damage while adding the benefit of conditioning, thus, preventing dry, damaged locks.
* Soy-based heat protectants has soy proteins useful in the protection of the extensions against heat; the proteins penetrate the hair shafts and forms a barrier against the heat.
4.4.Anti-Frizz:
Even your extensions will have frizz because of the humidity, among other factors. An anti-frizz product is then a must but it is also necessary to adopt a few anti-frizz measures such as regular washing with an organic shampoo and combing of the extensions using a wide-toothed comb.Other products for hair extensions include curl and wave holding sprays and serums. Just remember to follow the instructions for use for these products for best results.
